How the Evolution Card works

Evolution Account

Loading your card
Your card will be loaded automatically by transfer from your current account. You specify the amount that you want to load. This can be set up in line with your salary payments. All you need to do is make sure that sufficient funds are in your account to meet regular payments. You can change the amount you load by calling 08451 117 123.

Paying money in
As well as salary payments, you may also pay in cash and cheques at High Street banks across the UK including Barclays, RBS, HBOS, Abbey, HSBC, The Nationwide, Lloyds TSB, Clydesdale and The Co-operative Bank. Just fill in a paying in slip and hand it in at the counter. (Banks other than Barclays may charge for this service.)

Making payments and withdrawals
You can pay for goods and services, send money to people, or pay bills at most High Street banks in the UK. You can use your Evolution MasterCard® prepaid card to make cash withdrawals from over 1.2 million cash machines worldwide. You can also use it at over 28.5 million locations across the world in any store, restaurant, hotel, airline, petrol station or other outlets and locations, showing the MasterCard® acceptance mark. So whether you're shopping online, in-store, needing cash or paying for something by phone, your Evolution MasterCard® prepaid card gives you the flexibility and security you need. In addition to withdrawing cash or using your Evolution MasterCard® prepaid card, you can also make automated payments.

Automated payments
Standing Orders and Direct Debits are a convenient way to pay regular bills. Once set up, the amount is automatically collected from your account, saving you time and trouble. Some companies even offer discounts for paying this way. It's easy to set up or cancel a Standing Order or Direct Debit by simply calling our customer service team on 08451 117 123. The Direct Debit Guarantee protects you against unauthorised Direct Debits, for example if too much is taken, or it is taken after you have cancelled. If you think an amount has been wrongly taken from your account under a Direct Debit tell us straight away and if there is an error, you'll receive a full refund.

Telephone Banking
Our Telephone Banking Service provides you with everything you need to manage your account on a day-to-day basis. Ring for account information, balance enquiries or to set up or cancel Standing Orders and Direct Debits. You can even make one off bill payments/electronic transfers and arrange bankers cheques. EvolutionMasterCard® prepaid card
Use your card to pay for goods and services at retail outlets in over 100 countries where you see the MasterCard® acceptance mark.

Cash Machine (ATM)
You can use your EvolutionMasterCard® prepaid card to withdraw money from any cash machine in the UK or abroad displaying the MasterCard® acceptance mark. (Some Cash Machines charge for this service.)
