Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance, a leading UK asset-based lending provider, has bolstered its management team with the appointment of Dominic Castle as Regional Managing Director for Yorkshire and the North East.

Dominic brings over 12 years' experience in the valuation and corporate advisory industry to the team in the region. Joining from SIA Group (UK), where he held the position of Head of Advisory Services, Dominic has also previously held roles at leading accountancy organisations including KPMG and Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC).

As Regional Managing Director in Yorkshire and the North East, Dominic will be leading on the businesses core strategy across the region. This will include continuing to work with Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance's existing clients in the region, as well as driving business development opportunities across its valued network of advisors and private equity.

This will allow the team to continue supporting businesses across the UK and work in tandem with management teams and private equity houses to drive economy-wide growth.

The vacancy arose following John Gribbon's planned move to retirement earlier this year and his consideration of taking on new personal ventures.

As a leading provider of asset-based lending solutions, Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance supports businesses in refinancing business assets and free up working capital to align with each businesses strategic goals. Notable deals across Yorkshire and the North East include providing a £13.4m facility to Ravensthorpe-based Lawton Yarns, the UK's largest woollen yarn spinner, and a £2m facility to WHP Engineering, a designer and builder of cleanrooms, clean manufacturing solutions and complex process systems based in Gateshead.

Commenting on his appointment, Dominic said: "Given its innovative approach to asset-based lending and highly-experienced team, I look forward to settling into this new role and working closely with the regional team, helping to support ambitious management teams and driving business growth across the North.

"The tougher economic climate of recent months has shown the continued importance of supporting innovative businesses across the UK to help deliver their growth ambitions."

John Bevan, Managing Director at Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance, said: "With the wealth of experience and contacts he already holds in the industry, it's great for the team to welcome Dominic in Yorkshire and the North East. The team is well-placed to continue supporting businesses across the region, working closely with the respective management teams to provide industry-leading flexible finance solutions and expertise.

"Working closely with John Gribbon, Dominic's introduction to the business will be seamless as they continue to support the region's existing portfolio, as well as potential new clients. John's work across the region over the past few years has been exemplary, and Dominic is well placed to continue this strong legacy."
