Secure Trust Bank Group (STBG) has officially been named one of the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing (2023) by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture.

Monthly Wellbeing Hour, Wellbeing Café and a Menopause Policy are just some of the reasons why employees at STBG believe it's a great place to work.

Wellbeing Hour allows every employee to take an hour per month during the working day to do something that boosts their wellbeing; Wellbeing Café is a monthly virtual meet up for people who want to have a chat around the session's theme, from how to get a good night's sleep to managing stress; the new Menopause Policy aims to encourage an open and inclusive culture by promoting understanding about how the menopause can impact health and wellbeing, and the support that can be provided.

Great Place to Work's culture experts analysed thousands of employee surveys, assessing people's holistic experiences of wellbeing at work to determine the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.

"At the heart of every organisation are its people and looking after their wellbeing should be much more than a package of impressive perks on a careers website," explains Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK. "We know when employees feel genuinely contented and at ease within their roles, they are much more engaged and productive.  Now in our second year of the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list, we're once again able to showcase the leading organisations providing cultures conducive to outstanding psychological, physical and social wellbeing.  A huge congratulations to Secure Trust Bank Group for making this prestigious list."

Anne McKenning, HR Director at STBG, added: "We're extremely proud to be ranked 25th on the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing list. Colleague wellbeing has long been a priority of ours and we have a wellbeing strategy to make sure we're addressing not just mental wellbeing, but also physical, financial and social wellbeing. Based on employee feedback, we've created a variety of wellbeing initiatives like training up Mental Health First Aiders and introducing an improved, free and confidential employee assistance programme so that our colleagues feel supported."
