Notice Account and Access Account customers (including those with a Matured Funds Access Account or Matured Funds Access ISA), can close an account via Internet Banking. However, closing an ISA account will mean that savings lose their tax-free status.

When you're logged in, click on your account, select 'Withdrawals' in the menu on the left and then choose 'Close account'.

Once you submit your instruction to close, your funds will be returned to you. If you are an Access Account customer (including those with a Matured Funds Access Account or Matured Funds Access ISA), your funds will be returned to you on the next Business Day. If you are a Notice Account customer, your funds will be returned to you after you serve the full notice period as detailed in your Terms and Conditions.

Once your account is closed, you'll have access to Internet Banking for up to 6 months. You will still be able to access account details or download any previous statements during this time.
